In today‘s world, which faces ever-increasing environmental challenges and climate change, it is essential to pay attention to the environmental education, education of our students and to build responsibility for the environment in them. The 4 ELEMENTS project was born out of an internal necessity to respond to the current situation and approaches environmental topics through the four elements of the nature – eater, air, earth and fire. The project includes 3 outputs – theatrical production, environmental educational enviro application and Teachers‘ Guide.
AIR
I am air. Your breath. Try to stop breathing… I am everywhere around you. Even when you can’t see me, I’m still here. I am the atmosphere, the light breeze, the wind, the storm and the hurricane. I make windmills turn, I play with your kite, I blow gently through your hair. You wouldn’t live for long without taking a breath, but everything that shouldn’t be in the air and that chokes you is made by people. Breathe in – breathe out, breathe in – breathe out, breathe in – breathe out… I am the air, I exist with everything that is in me. I can live with it. With the smog, poisonous gases, freons, electric smog. It’s your lungs that can’t breathe if all the oxygen disappears and is replaced with substances that people produce, just like that, by accident, as a by-product, by making so many things which you don’t actually need. That is why I am calling you, you, yes you. Find out and take an interest in what is happening to the air, take an interest in who is destroying me and stop it. Stop it before it’s too late! Listen to me calling you… I howl in the tops of trees, I lift up huge waves and I turn dust in great whirlwinds, I thunder and crash in destructive madness. I am calling you for your life… because I will survive. I don’t need people to live. People need me…
